The experience

More time on safari, less on the road

The drive from Arusha to the central Serengeti takes most of a day. By light aircraft it takes about an hour, with a view of the Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Highlands on the way.

A fly-in safari suits short trips, guests coming straight from Zanzibar, and anyone who would rather not spend hours in a vehicle. Your guide meets you at the airstrip and stays with you on safari.

How much luggage can I bring?

Light aircraft have strict limits — usually around 15 kg per person in a soft bag. We’ll confirm the limit for your flights.

Can we fly straight from Zanzibar?

Yes. We have fly-in safaris from Zanzibar direct to the Serengeti, then back to the beach.

Is it all luxury?

Our fly-in safaris range from mid-range tented camps (from $1,800) to luxury lodges (from $2,322).

Do we still have a private guide?

Yes. Your own guide and 4x4 meet you at the airstrip for all game drives.
