About Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is the closest park to Arusha and one of the most scenic in Tanzania, set on the slopes of Mount Meru. It’s small, quiet and wonderfully varied.

Unlike the bigger parks, you can explore on foot with an armed ranger, and the forests, volcanic crater and flamingo-filled Momella lakes are all within a day. It’s perfect for your first or last day in Tanzania.
