About Nyerere National Park

Nyerere National Park was created from the northern part of the Selous Game Reserve, one of the largest protected areas in Africa. The Rufiji River and its chain of lakes run through it.

Here you can explore by boat as well as by vehicle, gliding past hippos, crocodiles and elephants at the water’s edge. The park is also known for African wild dogs.
