“Pole pole” means “slowly, slowly” in Swahili — and it’s how we like to travel. A private safari lets you rest when you need to, skip early starts and stay longer where you’re happy.

We choose lodges with easy access and comfortable rooms, keep driving days short, and can add fly-ins to avoid the longest roads. Guests with limited mobility have travelled with us — tell us what you need.

Can you help with limited mobility?

Yes. Tell us what you need and we’ll choose lodges and plan days around it. We recently welcomed a guest with a disability as part of a multi-generational family.

Do we have to start early?

No — early drives are the best for wildlife, but you can always choose a later start.

How bumpy are the roads?

Some park roads are rough. A fly-in safari avoids the longest drives.
