After breakfast, we will start our journey to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park, home to the ‘Big Five’; rhinoceros, elephant, leopard, buffalo and lion, is one of the greatest national parks in the world, spanning over 14,000sq km. The name Serengeti comes from a Maasai word meaning ‘endless plains’.
Although populations fluctuate, there are an estimated 3 million large game animals in the Serengeti, including over 2,500 lions, 1.2 million wildebeests and over 200,000 zebras. You will also have the opportunity to see giraffes, baboons, Colobus monkeys, gazelles, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, waterbuck, hartebeest and more! This vast and varied park is home to more than 500 bird species; including ostriches, vultures, martial eagles, kori bustards, crowned cranes and secretary birds.
Enjoy a picnic or camp lunch before continuing for an afternoon game drive through the vast plains. A trip to the Serengeti at any time of the year can never disappoint!

After breakfast, begin your journey from Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Highlands.
The drive offers another opportunity for wildlife viewing as you leave the Serengeti plains behind. Your route takes you through spectacular landscapes towards the cooler, greener highlands surrounding Ngorongoro.
Depending on your accommodation and timing, you may stop for lunch along the way or enjoy a packed lunch.
Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Highlands, check in at your lodge or tented camp. Take time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spectacular highland scenery.
This evening is designed for rest before tomorrow's exciting descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater is a spectacular natural wildlife sanctuary, surrounded by steep walls and supporting a remarkable concentration of wildlife.
Spend the morning exploring the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location before continuing your game drive.
In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha.
Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your memorable 5-Day Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari.
